Description:
Waiting for the torch at Denver was 2-8-0 355. 355 had been built by Baldwin in 1904 as Southern Pacific 2699. It was sold to UP in 1910, becoming UP 355. It was out of service in this photo, but was briefly returned to service and renumbered 6355 in 1957. It would be retired for good in May 1958.
