Description:
The ICG bought a number of GP7s from the Reading in the mid-70s with the goal of putting them through Paducah for rebuild. Several were given temporary numbers and put on the road- ICG 19 is the former RDG 619; it became ICG 7913 in 1977.

There was no difficulty identifying the previous owners of these Illinois Central Gulf GP7's at the former Gulf Mobile & Ohio engine terminal in Mobile. ICG 19 and 70 were originally Reading 619 and Frisco 615, and they were subsequently outshopped as GP8's 7913 in September 1977 and 7732 in September 1976.
