Seaboard Coast Line U30B 1707 leads a westbound Espee train up the Huey P. Long Bridge, along with a GP35 and two U25B's. The train is on its way from Jaksonville to Houston via the SCL, L&N and SP. SCL 1707 still wears its original Seaboard Air Line green-and-cream paint scheme. (date approximate)

Description:
The L&N would occasionally send locomotives to New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal for work. This SCL GE had been on a run-though train from Florida, and ended up here. It was checked out as serial number 36124, built in December 1966 with a weight of 262,000 pounds.
