Description:
EMDX GP40 198 at Springfield, Missouri on May 13, 1994, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This unit was built as MILW GP40 154, later 2027, then SOO 2027, then EMDX 198, then rebuilt to GP-38-2 standards by Alstom (Canada) and leased to the UP becoming UP 2385 (second) on November 9, 1998. It was renumbered to UP 885 on November 26, 2002, retired (LLPX lease expired) by the UP May 4, 2006 and became GMTX 2104. Note that it still carries the MILW number plate on the dynamic brake blister.
