Out-of-service Southern Railway System (New Orleans & Northeastern) Ks class Consolidation 6903 was parked near the railroad’s
SCOTT STREET ROUNDHOUSE
in New Orleans, three months before it was officially retired. The locomotive had been built by Baldwin (31724) in 1907 as Cincinnati, New Orleans & Texas Pacific 723, was renumbered Southern Railway System 6203 in 1917 and was “sold” to the NO&NE as the 6903 in 1923. (approximate date of photo)
