Skeets Towing Service has moved the Virginia-Carolina 50s tender under the pavilion, and now prepares to move the locomotive. The locomotive was towed in with the driver wheels remaining motionless; the locomotive dragged on the rails with the help of LOTS of liquid soap.

This photo was taken atop a tall ladder behind the Museums Model Railroad Center as the train rolled back railroad-North to the S-line interchange, with former Chester & Lenoir Narrow Gauge/C&N-W narrow gauge boxcar #401 rests under the Museums Alexander Railroad Pavilion. Yes, that car was one of the first boxcars to use this line, dating back to the mid 1870s in the narrow gauge era. What a contrast.
